When you call, you’ll have a few choices. A friendly staff person will talk to you and offer free self-help materials, a list of other quit smoking programs in you area, and one-on-one private advice over the phone. You can pick the services you want at the times that are best for you.

Sign up at the NH Tobacco Helpline portal (nh.quitlogix.org) and get a quit coach to call you back; begin using the online community of quitters or sign up for quit texts on your phone.

New Hampshire Tobacco Helpline

The New Hampshire Tobacco Helpline 1-800-QUIT-NOW is the gateway to tobacco cessation services offered to New Hampshire residents. The toll-free helpline offers telephone-based counseling, free print materials and referrals to local tobacco treatment programs. Services are available in English (1-800-784-8669) and Spanish (1-800-8-DEJALO), with translation for other languages. A TTY line is available (1-800-833-1477).

www.TryTostopNH.org is the New Hampshire Tobacco Helpline Web Site. This site provides information about local tobacco treatment resources, a self-referral portal for those who want a call-back from one of our counselors, and fact sheets. NH residents can access these state-of-the-art, user-friendly tools for tobacco users who want to quit on their own.


Quit Works Quitworks-NH offers health care providers the necessary tools to refer their patients to evidence-based telephonic counseling, and offers a full range of the State’s tobacco treatment services. QuitWorks-NH is a collaborative effort based on the original QuitWorks program developed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and is recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a Best Practice.
